Spring Is Here!

It was officially Springtime when I touched down in Zurich.

We were pleasantly surprised to find out that the locals were having their Sechseläuten (six bells) festivities in town that very afternoon!

So of course, me, being the big KPO, everything and everywhere also want to go, HAD to go down and check out the festivities.

It weather was wonderful, bright, and sun-shiny!

We watched the parade, puzzled at why they were throwing bread to the spectators (I managed to catch one! *proud*), marveled at the size of their horses (they were huge) and of course… me being the glut, sampled all the street fare!!! ;)

On Day Two, we decided to head down to Lucerne.

Lucerne was BEAUTIFUL! It was surprisingly easy getting there and getting around.

The mountains provide a beautiful backdrop to the town. The lovely old buildings and bridges, the clear, clear lake… sigh.

You just have to envy the people who live there.

Zurich

Watching the parade go by!

I caught one! I caught one!!! We later fed the ducks with my prized bread. ;)

Hmm.. should i take the Long, Skinny, White sausage or the THICK, JUICY, DARK ONE?

I went for the THICK one. Like... DUH. ;)

A double, twirly, strawberry twist cone! *sllurp*

Melted Swiss Cheese and baked potatoes... Every weightwatcher's nightmare. It's Sin I tell you...

But we dont care! YUM!

Lovely Lake Zurich
The Zurich Boogg Snowman. (Im serious. Thats wat its called..)

Goodbye Winter!!! It took 12 minutes and nine seconds for the snowman's head – loaded with explosives – to blow up, forecasting a "moderate" summer for the Swiss!

Lucerne

I love train rides...

Lovely views as we chug along..

Lake Lucerne

You know its springtime when you see a swan building a nest :)

The famous Kapellbrucke (Chapel Bridge)

Inside the Kapellbrucke..

Lovely buildings along the river

See the lovely paintings on the buildings? It really is SO pretty!

Cowbell! *moo*

The Alps provide a lovely backdrop to the town

The exterior of the Jesuit Church. Seems plain enough..

But in the interior!!! *gasp*
And of course to round off my trip... MOVENPICK ICE CREAM! ;)

You Gotta Love Switzerland. :)

I Miss Phuket

.
I miss the smell of salt in the wind.
.
I miss the feeling of sand between my toes.
.
I miss the bright sun and the blue blue waters.

I miss not having a care in the world.

Lost Without You

I totally love this song. There is something about it that makes my heart go all gooey, makes me feel happy... and yet sad at the same time.

I’m lost without you
Can’t help myself
How does it feel
To know that I love you baby

Sigh.

It's seriously tempting.

Im contemplating Melbourne.. U think?

Anybody going anywhere interesting on 24-29May?

Tigger Woods

In my latest bid for self improvement, I decided to pick up golf.

So Keong brought me to Orchid Country Club on Saturday afternoon to teach me the rudimentary basics of golf.
.
Coach Keong started on his lesson. "Hold club liddat.. stand liddat..butt out... knees bend more.. hand straight... blahblahblah."
.
My back started to ache within 5mins.
.
Coach Keong started to lose his patience (and temper) with me in 10mins.
.
I pouted and said he was a lousy teacher.
.
He fumed and said I was a lousy student.
.
Who asked Tiger Woods to make it look so easy. I would never have guessed it was so hard.
.
And it was made harder when there were all the middle aged men watching me in amusement as I swung my golf club about like an idiot.
.
I admit. I looked like the proverbial bimbo at the golfing range.
.
Keong could only shake his head as he watched me make little leaps with my leg lifting off behind me after each swing.
.
After whacking air for an hour, I finally got the hang of it. No more little leaps. No leg lifting.
.
If fact, If i dare say so, I made some pretty nice, straight shots.
.
Im hooked. :)
.
So Coach... when's the next lesson?

Hoarse Whisperer

Here I am, at 4am in the morning, sitting here with no voice.

I had a sore throat, and after talking and laughing too much tonight, my vocal cords decided to go on strike.

So now I am reduced to a husky, airy whisper.

I cant tell if I sound extremely sexy or just plain ridiculous.

All I know is, everyone is happy coz I've finally shut up for once.

Harrumph.

Don't Call Me Baby

I think Mr. Arabia is reaching the end of his tether, and so am I.

"...looking for your email baby and there is nothing from, you pleas tell me any thing"

I'll tell you something you dirty little weasel you..

I'm NOT YOUR BABY.

Fuck off.

Now if I only dared to email that to him... ;p

Toodles To My Dear...

The girls of Batch 843 gathered last night to say goodbye to our darling Serena, who has decided to leave Singapore to start life anew in Perth! I am so happy for her! Good for you girl!!!

The placed was fixed at Saint James and the dress code was… a dress!

Acck! Thanks a lot Gwen for the GREAT idea..

I went into a panic and emptied out my whole cupboard and ended with a ratty brown dress whose sole intention in its life was to be a casual blouse.

It was precariously short over my butt… But I was desperate.

So we all gathered and laughed and giggled and gossiped the night away.

It was a bittersweet night, seeing how all of us changed. All immaculately groomed, each trotting in with a Gucci/LV handbag, compared to when we were all broke and desperate during our training days.

We were all the same, yet alittle different. All alittle more jaded. The naive innocence gone.

And this we all agreed on - This job screws up your life.

Oh screw it. I need the money.

Eye Candy Time! ;)

My Beautiful ladies (Clockwise from top left: Kim. Myself, Jane, Gwen, Jothi, Mel and Serena)

Gwen and I -Yes... We are THE Camera Whores. ;)

Leave Me Be!

My good friend from Arabia is still not giving up, despite my stoic refusal to return any of his emails.

He has resorted to fowarding me emails in Arabic with pictures of Anne Geddes babies and flowers and hearts.

In what way could I have possibly given the impression that I would understand Arabic???

"...but I like to now if you wish to be friend or no pleas tell me."

I think he's getting mad at me.

And the Arabic emails might be curses or something.

You think? ;p

He doesn't give up easily though.. If only he channelled all that energy somewhere ELSE.

Phuket Is HotHotHOT!!!

The weather here is SO HOT.

I'm so amazed when I see the AngMohs lie happily in the burning noon sun to get tanned.

Ouch.

The place here is so beautiful (sans the awful looking transvestites).

And I swear I've never seen so many AngMohs in Asia before.

And Angmohs with Thai escorts. Scary Shite.

One man was sitting next to us at a coffee shop, smchoozing with his Thai girl, and sporting a love bite so HUGE we could spot it at least two meters away.

That girl's got skill.

Oh.. And if you're wondering WHY THE HELL AM I ONLINE WHILE ON HOLIDAY IN PHUKET????

Blame the bugger next to me who can't let go of work. *grumble mumble*

Good Friday

So I tried to be good on a Good Friday.

Went to church. Prayed for my lost soul.

Brought my Mum and Aunts out for lunch at Jack's Place.

It was quite an experience bringing out five, overfifty-year-old, cantonese spewing women out for lunch.

Ordering for them was a bigger ordeal. Heh.

Now back to my lost soul. Went to my sis's place for dinner. Mentioned to her about me being dammed to hell. Satan has already reserved his right hand seat next to him, just for me.

She gave me a look and said, "What makes you think you will be sitting? Shouldn't you be shovelling coal or something?"

Hmm. I had to ponder over that for a moment.

"Well..", I said. "Im SO bad. I get to sit."

She gave up.

See you all in Hell, Peeps. *shoves my tail back into pants*

Amazing Race Asia?!

I was in Auckland when WeiX called me.

"Yo! Watsup Bro?", I answered the phone as I was sipping beer at The Occidental.

"Hey..", He asked. "Are you interested in joining the Amazing Race Asia?"

"WHHAT?!", I shrieked. "Why me???!"

And to that question, came his calm reply.

"Who else?"

Now how can I possibly say "no" to an answer like that?

My navigational abilities may be worse than that of a broken compass and I may be flakey, but who cares? It probably makes for good television. ;p

WeiX has all the brains. And I could probably charm an Arab man for a lift in his car. ;P

Bring it on babe!!! *Amazing Race theme song plays in background*

Abuty Abuty...

Trust Mr. Mua Ha Ha to come up with something like this...

Abuty, Abuty,
Wherefore Art Thou Abuty,.

Foresake thy airline, and come marry me...
You can be my queen, in Abu Dabi!!!

I have 3 camels, for u to play...
You never ever have to cook, I'll feed you kebabs every day...

I'll protect you from strange men, asking if you are filipino,
Chase them away, with my breath smelling of jalepeno!

We'll spend our days, on RTL 102.5 and MTV
I even have cable TV, so we can watch Oprah Winfrey!

Abuty, Abuty,
Wherefore Art Thou Abuty,..
Why my email.. you never reply me??? .....

- Mr. Mua Ha Ha

Babe, your poem is too good, it doesn't deserve to be hidden in the comments section.

See la.. now you make me feel bad about not replying his email.

Darn.
