"Kuwamfturbal?"

I was playing with my nephew this morning and he picked up a little cardboard picture of a construction cone and said, "Cone.." I was so impressed. So I said, "Yes! But its also a hat!" And i put one on my head and he mimicked me and put the other piece on his head. Then i said, "Is it comfortable?", not really expecting a reply.

We then put down the pieces and he picked them up a again and said, "One hat for Ah Yee.." handing me a piece, "... One hat for Joshua." And he put the piece on his head and said, "Kuwamfturbal?".

I burst out laughing,

Talk about a sweetheart...

Since I am unfortunately not going to be around this Chinese New Year, I will wish everyone in advanced, A Happy and Prosperous Chinese New Year!

Frankfurters Anyone?

Ironically, I didn't get to eat any frankfurters in Frankfurt. I had schnitzel instead.... And as exotic as the name sounds, its was just deep fried pork cutlet. Oh! And warm Apfelsaft (apple juice)! Very nice.... :)

What can I say about Frankfurt...? FREAKING COLD!!! -2 Degrees Celcius... *shiver*.

Even with the cold weather, my colleague was kind enough to invite me to go sight-seeing in Heidelberg with her friend, who was a local staying in Frankfurt. Phil was kind enough to drive us there and we travelled on the Autobahn at a constant breathtaking speed of 160km/h!

So Kewl...

It was colder in Heidelberg and I was totally unprepared for it. My toes were freezing, my lips were cracking, my ears were freezing off and my mucus was creating stalagmites in my nostrils. I wrapped my scarf around my mouth and nose. I din care. I was so cold. I was permanently hunched, shoving my chin into my sweater. It was definately not a glamorous sight.

On my last day in Frankfurt, I decided to take a few shots of the park near my hotel. It was my first time looking at a frozen pond! :)

All of a sudden, I felt little pricks on my face... I looked up and I couldn't believe it.. was it really snowing??? I stuck my hand out and I saw little ice bits falling on my glove. I was SO happy! I just stood there with my hand out and my face tilted up to the sky, smiling. My greatest wish came true! I swear, it was God giving me those few minutes of snow. As suddenly as it started, the snow stopped and I went back to the hotel, pleased as punch.

I came back home with peeling skin, cracked lips and suffering from AWFUL jet lag.

Oh how I love my sunny, hot, humid island. KissKiss.

PicsPIcsPICS!

fr(EE)ak out!

So I finally recieved a confirmation regarding my EE Weekend.... and its confirmed for March!

The letter I recieved contained some information regarding the weekend and this ominous sentence, "You have set aside your busy schedule to prepare for the most important relationship of your life. And so, we fully appreciate that you will not allow anyone or anything like mobile phones, pagers, newspapers, etc., to distract you from this very special person you are coming with for this weekend."

Handphones? Newspapers?! Jeremy's life REVOLVES around his handphone and a copy of The Straits Times. It was quite a sight to see Jeremy turn white in the face (considering how dark he is..)

I guess you guys are quite surprised to know how Jeremy loves (and NEEDS) his newspaper... when we are in Malaysia, he will buy a copy of The Sun, just for the heck of it. And when we are in Bangkok, he will buy his own paper cause he knows THAT airline (i wun mention names here) never has a single copy of any newspaper on board.

And the last time we went to Batam, he accidentally left his copy of the Straits Times at the counter of the money changer. He was so visibly upset, he was wondering how he could go through customs to get it back. That of course not being feasible, he started ogling the rolled up copy the Ah Pek had gripped under his armpit. I had to snap him out of it.

The sentence continued with, "We also understand that you will want to give your full attention to your special one...."

I burst out laughing at this point. WANT to give your FULL attention? I do not think I have ever recieved Jeremy's full attention... there was always the computer/TV/PS2/handphone/the bed (to sleep la!).

Wow... A whole weekend of Jeremy's undivded attention with No Computer...No TV.. No PS2... No Handphone? A whole weekend of COMMUNICATING with each other?

*imagines Jeremy coping*

Yup... He's Sooo gonna hate it :)

I LOVE IT!

(EE)eeks!

Sorry I've not been updating... paiseh. Busy lah.

And if you're wondering what my title of this post is about, I've signed up for EE... Engagement Encounter (EE).

And hence, (EE)eeks! is poor Jeremy's reaction. Yes... after almost 8 long years of careful and precise planning, he is slowly but surely falling into My Trap!

This is just Step One of my diabolical plan to shackel Jeremy into a lifelong servitude of... MARRIAGE. If that's not bad enough....it's marriage.. to ME. *evil laughter*

The horror.

With my constant nagging, pointing to wedding gowns/home and decor magazines/weekly advertisements for wedding expos and topped off with my secret weapon - POUTING, I foresee that I should be able to proceed to Step Two (Book HDB Flat) pretty soon. *more evil laughter*

With Step Two complete, Step Three (The WEDDING) should fall into place with ease (due to legal obligations waatt..).

*rub hands in glee*

Hey... It's tough work for a girl to get married...
