Minum..? Or Packet?

Somehow I always seem to have embarressing moments when I buy tea.

Remember my bubble tea saga when I asked for Pearl Milk Tea without Pearls?

Bleah.

So I went to the coffee shop near my place to get my Jie a packet of Teh Si Gosong (Milk Tea without sugar).

Ok, I had on no makeup, my geeky glasses and my hair was all over the place. And I admit. I probably looked pretty bad. Why this matters... will be explained in a minute.

I ordered in Mandarin, "Auntie, one packet of Teh Si Gosong."

She (lets call her Auntie A) acknowledge my order and proceeded to prepare the tea.

Another auntie (Auntie B), after finishing with another customer, asked Auntie A what I ordered.

Auntie B then turned to me and proceeded to ask, complete with sign language, "Minum?" (Malay for drink) and proceeded to act out the whole charade action of drinking, complete with thumb pointing to her mouth "... Or packet?" And then did the action of pretending to carry a plastic bag.

Basket! I know I look like an Indonesian maid who doesn't understand English la! ERGH.

I stared at her with a bland look and replied back in Mandarin. "Packet please."

She looked confused for a minute and I give her credit for recovering so quickly. She then continued to chatter to me in Mandarin for the rest of the order.

After I paid and left, I was trying so hard not to laugh as I kept thinking of the actions she made.

Sigh... I look like a maid, dammit.

BusyBusyBusy.

I've been so busy.

Since I have such limited time in Singapore, I can't afford to waste a single minute.

Now with my house coming up, I've been rushing to get quotes from contractors, inspecting my place... and I know it's just going to get WAY busier.

Oh yah, so I got my place last week.

Armed with an ong lai (pineapple) in one hand and a bottle of Holy Water in the other, I opened the door and Jem rolled the pineapple in yelling, "HUAT AH!!!!!"

I thought it was a seriously funny scene. :)

And yes people, my (future) hubby is one superstitious bugger. *roll eyes*

Lets just hope we strike 4D. Hehehe... ;p

God I'm pooped.

Jem is snoring away on my bed now. The poor bugger is pooped out too.

I gave away most of my flights for next month. I'm too tired to work. I may starve and start chewing grass next month, but I don't care.

I just want to sleep.

Through All of 10 Years...

Today marks the day I've known Jem for 10 long years.

And I know this is one of his favourite songs, and I also know he has no idea how meaningful the lyrics are. Hahaha... *KISS*

Through the Years
I can't remember when you weren't there
When I didn't care for anyone but you
I swear we've been through everything there is
Can't imagine anything we've missed
Can't imagine anything the two of us can't do
Through the years, you've never let me down
You turned my life around, the sweetest days I've found
I've found with you ...

Through the years
I've never been afraid,
I've loved the life we've made
And I'm so glad I've stayed, right here with you
Through the years
I can't remember what I used to do
Who I trusted, who I listened to before

I swear you taught me everything I know
Can't imagine needing someone so
But through the years it seems to meI need you more and more
Through the years, through all the good and bad
I know how much we had, I've always been so glad
To be with you ...

Through the years
It's better every day, you've kissed my tears away
As long as it's okay, I'll stay with you
Through the years

PS. We got our keys yesterday! YAYY!!!! I am a proud owner of a new home! :)

I'm a Wreck

I came home today, came up to my room, sat on the floor and burst into tears.

I feel so tired.

I barely have any time for myself. I barely had six days in Singapore last month, and it's the same this month, with even tougher destinations and less rest time.

I finally had time to sit down for a meal with my parents today.

I finally had a full day to play with Joshie, talk to my sis and cradle my dear Ashley.

And it hit me too that I had totally neglected my all my good guy buddies.

When was the last time I called them out to meet?

I try to spend all my time in Singapore with Jem. Then I realise that leaves me with no friends which I can call my own.

I may have a wonderful time sightseeing when Im away.

But I have no Quality Time back home.

I'm away for 24 days a month.

I'm home for only 6.

So I'm sorry if I haven't seen you in awhile.

And I apologise if I tend to be cranky.

I just hope you all understand.

For tonight, let me indulge this once and allow me to feel sorry for myself.

I Love Dolphins...

And I love Christchurch too! :)

I always make it a point to go sightseeing in Christchurch, just coz New Zealand's South Island is amazingly beautiful.

So this time I organised a trip to Akaroa! The town's harbour is the home of New Zealand's Hector Dolphins. A small French Colony (the people, not the dolphins... ;p), with a permanent population of only 576. Now THAT'S a small town.

Oh and it's the first time I got to see wild dolphins so up close. Next time I will try attempting a swim with the dolphins, if I ever get the chance again. :)

Well, enough from me. I will let the beautiful pictures tell the story... :)

Christchurch & Akaroa!
Love the angle of this pic and the way the sun shines down on the cathedral... :)

Flower Festival at Christchurch's Cathedral.

I was the second oldest of all the girls. God I'm old.

Geri = Roadkill. Whaha...

Stopping for pictures.. Love the view.

And they're here! :)

And more join in! EEEEEHEEHEEHEeeee.... I love the "PPFFFT" sound their blowholes make whenever they come up for air. They're a cute lot. :)
.
Beautiful, massive sea cave formations.
.
And me in my new MiuMiu sunglasses, bought REALLY cheap thanks to Shireen and Kamar for bringing me bargain shopping in Dubai! hehehe...
.
And our last and my fav spot, a beach consisting entirely of beautiful, smooth pebbles. I was so amazed. I picked three rocks to decorate my new home. Hee.

Hey now, Hey now.. Don't dream it's over..
