Blog Schmog...: Ekka 2006!

Arrived in Brisbane to visit Ron and Ah Ming... AGAIN! *whee*

Had planned for weeks to head to the Ekka Fair! Told my colleagues all about it in the plane. I told them, "I'm not sleeping when i reach Brisbane!!!"

Hence I was crowned "The Chiong-ster".

Hahahha... *Proud* ;p

So I did an overnight flight, reached my hotel only at about 11 plus in the morning... had a quick shower and change and sat on the bed and snoozed for 15mins before Ron and Ming came over to my hotel with lunch. (Nandos chicken for me! *yum*)

God I was so stoned.

Took a short train ride and we arrived at the Ekka Fair! I was so excited. Its exactly like those huge American County Fairs you always see on TV. Stupid carnival games... people walking about with HUGE dolls.. ice cream, candy floss, snow cones and hotdogs... ferris wheels and rollercoasters... Bull and horse shows... WOW WEE!

So off we went to the game stalls, determined to win AT LEAST one big plush toy. I saw this huge Bob The Builder plush toy and was desperate to win it for Joshie.

Alas, even after shoving wads of dollar bills to the grinning stall holders and with Ah Ming and Ron's super skills at the games, none of us could win that elusive toy.

Sigh... I have no luck.

Oh well, i managed to buy a Thomas the Engine showbag (its a goodie bag chock full of toys and treats) for Joshie. Gave it to him when i got back to Singapore last night.. and Im so glad he loved it! He kept dragging the school bag it came with around the house.

Headed off to watch the Freestyle motorcross show (damn cool), the human cannon ball (she almost missed the airbag... OUCH), and of course.. the FIREWORKS show!

My FAV. As usual I was grinning like an idiot to myself as the fireworks went off.

As always I had a fantastic time with Ron, Ah ming and their friends!
